Meet the team

We created a sustainable black-empowered farming business with the aid of water rights and a dam permit, access to the market, appropriate skills development and training, and social responsibility to the broader rural community of Riviersonderend.

The farm is managed by a team of experts consisting of Schalk Viljoen, the Chief Executive Officer. Nelius Otto (Project Manager: Crops), Schalk-Willem Viljoen (Project Manager: Citrus);  Hilana du Toit (Manager: Human Resources and Administration) and Gerswin Louw (Project Manager: Livestock).

Professional support services are provided by Barry Steicher (Finances: Bookkeeping and Financial Accounting) and Joubert van Vuuren (Legal Services). Simon van Wyk and Ucheam Michaels (all Black incumbents) are assistant managers for crops, citrus, and livestock respectively.
